Pre-school

The Infant School makes a home visit to each child before entering the Nursery and Reception Class. Where possible we also contact other Nurseries and playgroups to discuss children's progress.

Infant/Junior

As we are on different sites we feel it is very important to make the transition from the Infant to the Junior school as smooth and happy as possible. Children visit the Junior School and spend time with the receiving Junior teachers towards the end of the Summer term.

Junior/Secondary

Links are made with our local secondary schools and are intended to support a smooth transition to secondary education for the Juniors.

Applications for secondary places are made by parents on forms supplied by the LEA at the start of each child's final year in Junior School. Parents are advised to visit prospective schools early in this year. Applications for Grant Maintained and Independent Schools need to be made directly to the schools and not through the LEA.
