How can I access CJS Mail through another application?

CJS Mail can be accessed through any application which supports IMAP.  This is a protocol which can be used to access email whilst keeping a copy on the server so you can still access the messages through the webmail interface.

Programs which have IMAP support include Outlook Express, Outlook, Thunderbird as well as mobile applications such as ProfiMail, Nokia S60 devices and the iPhone.

As there are so many applications which support IMAP we cannot offer guides to how each one works.  Instead we simply offer the server details that you can add into your email application.

Before you enter the server details into your email client you will need to enable IMAP in your CJS Mail account.  To do this log in to your account via the CJS web site, then click on Settings, then Forwarding and POP/IMAP.  You will then see the screen below:

Make sure 'Enable IMAP' and click 'Save Changes'.

Once you have enables the IMAP settings in your CJS Mail account you will need to add the following server settings to your email applications:

Incoming Server: imap.gmail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 993

Outgoing Server: smtp.gmail.com
Use Authenication: Yes
Use STARTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL)
Port: 465 or 587

Username: yourusername@cypressjuniors.co.uk (you must remember to include the @cypressjuniors part of the domain otherwise Google will not log you in)
Password: The password you set when you first logged in to CJS Mail
